The Cultural Diversity Training Program (CDTP) is a 1 day (8 hour) training program designed to educate and inform law enforcement officers of common stereotypes and prejudices, including their own, and alternatives that can eliminate or suppress those barriers in both professional and personal life experiences.

As society has become more diverse, the need for cultural diversity awareness and understanding has become a necessity.  Our nation is in transition with the majority taking a new look.  However, civil rights, racial sensitivity, and cultural diversity training hopefully will prepare officers to confront sensitive issues and interact more positively with their fellow officers and the people they serve.  Understanding cultural differences, especially in conflict situations, can help officers reduce tension and confrontation.
