Law Enforcement Training Solutions, Marine Training Division, in conjunction with Tactical Training Solutions, Inc, presents the Tactical Marine Operator’s Course, a comprehensive 3 day (24 hour) training program designed to instruct marine officers, patrol officers and SWAT officers to work in a maritime environment.

The situations that officers encounter today can go from the land to water in seconds.  Officers have to deal with threat assessments in a new arena.  Not only are criminals using the waterways to their advantage, so are terrorists.  Asset protection of our bridges, ports, fuel depots and airports need to be part of every department’s plans, policies and procedures.  Marine officers have to be able to perform vessel escorts and port security.  Situations such as an active shooter on a vessel are concerns rarely dealt with before.

Classroom time will include topics such as:

· Threat assessments

· Critical incidents on the water

· Duties of the boat crew

· Contingency planning

Water time will include topics such as:

· Firearms drills (SIMS)

· Vessel escorts

· Asset protection

· Vessel take downs

· Vessel pursuits

· Practical scenarios

Agencies will be responsible for bringing their own vessels.
